I’m seeing the end if all my episodes getting cut off and buffering, jumping the last 30 seconds straight to the auto play, does anyone else run into this issue? Seeing it on iOS and Apple TV.
I experienced the exact same problem on my AppleTV4, turned off the automatic selection of bitrate and the issue seemed to go away.
Anyone know if this bug is known by Plex?

There have been MANY threads of how poor playback is on the Apple TV recently so I would hope the developers have stumbled on them. There is no way to know for sure as they almost never bother to post in the forums and there is no bug tracking system to check if they’re working on it.
I’ve had your issue too along with many others on the ATV for over 6 months now. It’s not looking good.

Yes I’m seeing something similar only I have a few freezes/buffering episodes before it stops. usually about 5 mins before the end of the episode.
Hello all, seems like I have the same problem. I couldn’t find a response to the question in the forum (only old topics without solution). Whenever the buffer line reaches the end of the file, playback stops. This happens on all tested platforms, iOS, Apple TV, chromecast but not the server pc. At first it retries to play the file but as soon as buffer reaches the end, playback stops again (after few seconds). After three tries plex skips to the next episode. Very frustrating! I really like plex but this issue forces me to use other apps so I can watch the end of my shows. Shows with this issue are encoded in mkv. Please some help.
I’ve been all through the menus and cannot find the auto selection of bitrate. Can someone please clarify this step? This missing the end of all my shows is really getting old. 
Roku 3 player is doing the same thing, cuts off last 30 sec or so on about every show. Also getting episodes that just stop playing part way through and give an file error though the file is fine.
I’m having the same issues with my Roku 3 and Roku Ultra and haven’t found any settings that will work… just cuts off last couple of minutes of the episode or a movie.

Have you updated your server in the last few hours? There is an update that hopefully fixes it.
I am having the same issue with Plex on my new Roku Ultra. Never a problem on my Roku Premier Plus.
Plex is cutting off the last minute or so of each episode.
I have Plex on my Smart TV and it works fine.
I’m unable to find a setting that might fix it.
It seems to me if the Premier works fine then the Ultra should also work.
I have been having the same problem and it’s driving me nuts. I use the HDHomeRun device and watch my recorded shows on my Roku Premiere and Roku Streaming Stick. The last 30 seconds or so keeps getting cut off. I have noticed other conversations around this exact issues and I can’t see a resolution to the problem. I’m surprised Plex hasn’t addressed this yet. Plex support, are you listening?!
