Plex Dance Not Working

Sum of the issue is that I imported some bad file names and now the episode names are incorrect in Plex. So, I do the complete Plex dance, completely remove the files from the share, rename them into proper format, delete the cache (at C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Caches\com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb), stop and restart the Plex application on the server, reboot the server… then finally re-import the files only to have Plex reassign the old garbage file names. WTF?

The Plex user has read/write access to everything…

I’ve done the above in varied steps and varied order in accordance with as many threads as I can find on this site. Had to have moved, cleared, readded the season at least 15 times.

For clarity, I’ve emptied the trash, optimized database, cleared bundles… all steps of the dance.

I’m obviously missing a cache somewhere since it remembers the old file names… what am I doing wrong?

ERMAGERD!!! After days I found it. For anyone else with the same issue, simply uncheck “local media assets” in agents. So simple. I’ve been going nuts with this. Whew.
