Plex on Windows Desktop just sudenly closes after a minute or so. Running Windows 10. I have used PLEX for years and this just started yesterday. Rebooting computer didn’t help.
If you have not done so, download the latest version, 1.35.1.2632, from plex.tv/download and manually install.
There is a problem with the auto-updater in version 1.31. It causes the app to crash when trying to download the newer version.
I updated as you suggested but problem remains. I timed it several times and the program closes suddenlly (I’m assuming it is crashing) at almost exactly one minute after starting even when I only start it and do nothing. It started a day or two ago out of nowhere. I hadn’t done any updates or changed anything major on my computer that I know of. My computer is set for automatic updates so maybe there was an update that broke PLEX on my system.
I really appreciate any help. My vision is poor and these forums seem hard to navigate. There are so many subgroups.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions or trouble shooting steps.

It is my desktop app that crashes. I don’t know if I am using the correct terminology but it is the program that is accessed by a shortcut on my desktop.
The web based app that is accessed at http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/ does not crash.

Make sure you select Apps & devices, NOT Plex media server.
