I’ve got a new Panasonic EZ952 OLED TV, and having a torrid time getting Plex to transcode files with the dca(DTS) codec. This TV does not natively support dca, hence the need for Plex to transcode dca to ac3 or aac or whatever will play on the TV. At the moment, for files(all MKV’s by the way) with dca, the TV client just says “Error reading file”. Also, in the preview window while browsing the video list, it only shows ‘Video’ as the container type, and not ‘MKV’ like the files that do in fact work(basically the ones with ac3 dolby digital audio…)
My modified client profile(I found it on AVforums, it was written by one of the members there for another Panasonic TV with the same DLNA client and capabilities ) have been placed in the user profiles directory “C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Profiles” and it is being mapped correctly as far as I can tell from the logs. (I have attached the profile xml file)
Here is a snippet from the Plex DLNA Server log to illustrate that the profile is read and mapped to the TV:

Then I get the errors stating no direct play profile exists i.e.
no direct play video profile exists for http/mkv/h264/dca

Which is odd, because as configured in the profile xml file, dca is not of the audio codecs defined in the videoprofile for the mkv container i.e.

Does anybody have this same problem? Can anybody please glean some insight or share experiences here as to why Plex does not transcode the titles containing dca as the soundtrack?
