Plex Docker and PS4 not working

Player Version#: 3.0

Recently my PS4 app can’t connect to my Plex server anymore. When I enable the log messages it simply says “not connected”. When restarting the app and / or PS4 it SOMETIMES works, but there is no garanty. Right now nothing works…

Here are some more infos regarding the solution:

  • I am using Docker in host mode (all needed ports exposed)
  • Windows app, Mac app, iPhone app, Plexamp and Plex Web are working fine
  • Every device / client belongs to the same network
  • Manually specifying the ip address did not help
  • Changing every possible setting in the app did not help
  • Restart app and system multiple times did not help
  • Uninstall and install app again did not help

Am I missing something? Please help! :pray:

I figured out that this has to do with the Docker container. Yesterday evening it worked fine and today morning not anymore. When I re-started only the container, the Plex PS4 app could connect to the server again. Seems like running the server 24/7 causes some issues?!
