Media Server unreachable on PS4

I just downloaded the Plex app to my PS4 recently and Plex works just fine with my computer but it just says on my PS4 that the server is unreachable but won’t tell me why. Both my laptop and PS4 are on the same network, but my PS4 is connected via LAN and my laptop is WiFi, I can provide any other info that will help. Thank you!

in the setting of the PS4 app under advanced, try changing Allow Insecure connections to On the same network or always

So, I did that and it worked for a little bit and then with the latest updates for some reason plex can’t find my server again. Is there another way to fix this? I checked the same settings again and they are as they should be.

Have you tried enabling secure connections on your server?

I am having the same issue. IT works fine on my PC, Android TV box,my Vizio Tv and my firestick . But for some reason all of a sudden it won’t work on my PS4 now. I even tried allowing insecure connections and nothing. Does anyone know the solution?

Yeah this maddening. Seems like it worked fine when I had the server on my laptop (and actually when I have my laptop open it sees the laptop server and the old database) but since I moved it to a dedicated Mac Mini it’s worked only intermittently. Worked ok when I first set it up (although I had to keep waking the computer, until I set it to just never sleep) but since then it’s nearly always unavailable. It has worked a few times since after I’ve done some restarts or logged out and in (you know, the “try anything” approach) but the last few times I’ve tried it’s constantly unavailable. Works fine on the server itself, my laptop can see it, my iPad can see it, just the PS4 won’t. Have tried all the suggested things like disabling secure connections etc.

Just reinstalled my Windows 10 OS and I’m now having the same issue. Was stable for over a year, but now only my PS4 app cannot connect to the server, even with manual server set. However all my devices (PC, phone, tablets, laptops, PS4) are able to connect via the browser interface while on or off the network.
