Server Version#: 1.18.8.2527
I have a Plex server installed in the docker container.
Tell me how can I upgrade the server to the latest version?
Restarting the container does not help.
Thanks.
Which one with which release tag?
Just use the correct image.
I am use official PMS container:
plexinc/pms-docker:latest
This updates at every restart. If not, then no new version is available.
I might be wrong:
https://hub.docker.com/r/plexinc/pms-docker
(scroll down to tags)
:plexpass or :public behave like that, while latest behaves like a standard pre built docker image.
Thanks.
I changed the tag to plexinc / pms-docker:plexpass and the server updated to the latest version.
See if this happens automatically the next time the container restarts.
It will, because it is designed that way. I am using the same tag (and the outdated :beta) and both update on every container restart.
I recently updated the plex docker, now when I open the Plex app on my phone, it says that my media server can’t be found. Any ideas?
It is another topic so you better open a new thread. In general, when you change sth and it does not work anymore, just go back to the last working state (as long as you are not able to do further investigation on the problem)
