Just found the cache location by the way, it’s in /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache/PhotoTranscoder !
Maybe I should delete it and trigger a wholescale “refresh metadatas”?

Found a solution!
So, I created a dir named TEST in /home/plex. Then I moved everything inside /home/plex/Series into /home/plex/TEST.
Then, I went on my PLEX server. I added a new library pointing at the TEST dir. As soon as it started scanning it, the Series library got emptied. Once it got emptied, I cleaned bundles & emptied trash. Then, I did a copy (not a move) from TEST/Planet Earth II to Series/Planet Earth II… And it worked! I then MOVED the rest (not copied) and it kept on working!
Thanks for your help guys!
I have one last little question just so I can satisfy my curiosity : when I change a movie’s poster or name, does it change only locally, or does it change for all of my PLEX users?
Thanks again.

From my “objective” view here, were I to venture a guess, you haven’t been doing a proper “Plex Dance” in the past where this time you actually did.

I also was thinking that! I may have been a little bit to quick… My bad.
Still, could you answer my very last question kind sir? Is there a way to change a media title for every users, not just for me?

The media title ?That is changed in the database entry.
Thing is, when I change the media title using this method, only me can see the changes.
Let’s say I have one media titled “abcdef” and I edit his title to “abc”. I’ll see “abc” real good, oh yeah, but my friends / users will still see “abcdef”!
Somebody is caching. It’s in the database as abc
with original title
as abcdef
. It has always been that way
i will investigate

It may be because the friend I did the tests with is using PLEX on Chrome? Maybe if he cleared his cache or something?
Yes. Chrome is notorious for caching images and such strings.

Thanks, just confirmed with him that it works, he just had to clear his cache.
Thanks for everything man, I don’t think I have other questions… +1 for your efficiency & reactivity!
Cheers,
Thanks and glad you’re happy.
If you feel up to it, letting Plex HQ know how I’m doing always helps at next performance evaluation lol
