Does anyone know if the Plex DVR feature works well with the installed app on an Nvidia Shield TV? The demo appears to be on a computer with mouse clicks, so maybe the interface is not ready for an installed app. I am using Tablo, and I can’t stand the lag/interface, so this could be interesting.
I haven’t tested it myself, though I will shorty, but it’s configured through the web interface, which means you can do it on a PC even if it’s running on a Shield.
There is a forum dedicated to the new DVR functionality. You might want to ask there BUT, if I remember correctly, I thing Plex said that the Shield is currently not supported.
After reading the starting post over there I realized that I have, currently, no use for the DVR as I have zero access to OTA (no signals reach my little valley) and no access to cable either so I did not read with great attention so you may want to read the forum I mentioned yourself to be sure.
Edit: I just noticed you do not have a Plex Pass and access to the DVR and to the forum I mentioned is Plex Pass only so you will not be able to access the forum or use the DVR functionality unless you get a Pass.
Can someone link to the forum? I can’t seem to find it- It should be open to all members with questions before signing up to plexpass. I’d also like to know if I can use the Plex Home Theater app for Windows/Mac or if support for flipping through the guide will be supported on other Plex TV apps, ie Vizio, tvOS, iOS, etc…
Also, are clearqam channels supported via hdhomerun? or is it only antenna/cablecard?

Without a Plex Pass you will not be able to get to that forum. It, like the DVR functionality itself, is Plex Pass only
If you have generic questions about the new DVR feature, go ahead and ask. Please make sure you read the FAQ first. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/226463767-Frequently-Asked-Questions-DVR

Is support for the HD HomeRun 3 (HDHR3) a possibility? I don’t want to upgrade to HDHR4 unless I need to (also they seem to be out of stock everywhere). Thanks.
If you mean HDHR3-6CC-3X2, then yes. Make sure you are running the updated beta, https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/232362/dvr-beta-two-dvr-harder.

I verified that I am running the Beta 2, and I have a “HDHR3-US” device on my network. When I run the DVR Setup, it does not find the device. I have also tried to manually enter the IP address, but it does not find it. Any help is appreciated.

Some extra info: My device on the network shows up as “HDHR-1036F196”

Same issue with me.
Ditto here. No answers yet?
Is there going to be anymore updates to the Plex DVR Beta or is it going to be rolled into the latest version of Server? I accidently updated to the current version of Plex Server and now I can’t easily roll back to the beta dvr version wihtout a complete reinstall.
Extra bonus points if the next version of Plex Server supported live channels and time shifting.
DVR video quality is horrible.
Plex Linux 1.7.2.3878. HDHomerun Connect.
“Convert video while recording” set to ‘Off’.
Yet transcoding is happening and the resulting quality is horrible. This seems like a bug.
Please ask all support questions which are directly connected to the DVR feature in the proper subforum https://forums.plex.tv/categories/dvr-live-tv
