Plex DVR doesn't let me choose cable, only antenna

First, let me say that the tuner I am using isn’t an officially supported one. That said, it is a tuner that works just fine in any other Linux-software and it uses the bog-standard Linux DVB API. The tuner has two frontends: one that supports only DVB-T and one that supports DVB-T/T2/C.

It seems Plex insists on only choosing the first frontend with no way of choosing the other one. By all accounts, the tuner should work perfectly fine with Plex if I just could somehow make it use the other frontend.

Additional information: tried with Ubuntu 19.04 and 19.10, also latest Plex beta as of 11.10.2019.
Is there some way of forcing to stop being retarded and let me choose which one to use?

Apparently, just simply renaming /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 to e.g. /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend99 works and now Plex uses the correct one. It’s a rather crude workaround, though, and Plex-devs should rather fix the software instead.
