Post-processing Script

Anyone with a good post processing script to cut commercials from DVR recordings, and convert TS files to MP4? Seems every new plex update includes an updated name of the folder containing the Codecs, which in the past has broken the script because the location of the Codecs has changed… Seems to me that this one additional step could easily be integrated by the Plex developers into the dvr recording process.

It’s rather strange to me that automatic background h264 conversion isn’t a built-in feature of Plex. (Removal of commercials is something that can be set in your recording settings, either as a default or on a per-recording basis.) They should consider adding it to the scheduled task section.
I guess if you wanted, you could accomplish the transcoding part using a script that just used your own transcoder though, while setting Plex’s DVR to remove commercials upon detection (instead of just marking them). (On Windows, you could simply use Plex Transcoder.exe for encoding, without paying any mind to codec subdirectories, from what I can tell, but I don’t know why anybody would want to use it specifically.)
