I purchased an HDHomerun Quatro tuner. It works just fine, and plex picks it up without issues. The problem is the programming guide. I purchased HDHomerun’s subscription package, and that works just fine.
When adding the tuner to tuner to plex, the guide will let me chose EITHER the antenna and pickup locals channels (but doesn’t see the HDHomerun subscription channels), or i can chose the HDHomerun subscription package (but the programming guide wont allow me to select the antenna channels to be added to the guide).
If i chose a TWC digital package, then i have both… however, some of the channels don’t line up (guide wise), and some just don’t work at all.
I figured, “Ok, I’ll just get another cheap tuner… have one for antenna channels, and the other to pull in the proper HDHomerun subscription channels. Plex should pick them both up, and each tuner will contribute to the plex guide giving me everything (antenna channels and subscription channels).”
The problem now is, whatever the first tuner is setup to do (ANTENNA or subscription), the 2nd tuner auto defaults to pickup the same channels. I cannot (even if antenna is selected), get the setup guide to show the local channels… it will only show the channels setup in the other dvr’s setup guide).
Yes from what it seems plex will support more than 1 HDhomerun tuner, however the programming guide wont allow for more than 1 overall TV source (Antenna, cable, etc).
Any suggestions?
