Hey guys, I’ve been experiencing a SUPER annoying bug the last few days, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix it. Here’s what’s happening:
-I have a show scheduled to record on a future day.
-Once the day arrives, the show that was scheduled to record no longer appears on the recording schedule for that day, even though the show is still set to air that day.
-The show will not record unless I manually find the specific episode in today’s TV schedule and set it to record that episode only.
-If I have anything set to record “all episodes,” nothing will ever record. Shows will appear on the recording schedule for future dates, but once those days become today, the shows automatically get removed from the schedule for no reason.
-The workaround mentioned above (manually setting it to record that episode only) will only work if there isn’t a repeat airing of that particular episode. If there’s a repeat airing, the Plex DVR schedule will not show today’s airing and will instead force me to schedule the future airing. Even though the episode still appears in the guide!
I have an example to show you. The show I’m trying to record today is Poldark. It airs at 8pm. It does not show up on my recording schedule, even though I’ve set it to record all episodes. If I go to the guide, it shows up in the guide, at 8pm. But if I try to record it, I can’t. It will default to record next Tuesday’s airing. But once Tuesday comes around, that airing will also disappear from the recording schedule and I’ll have to manually set it to record. It’s very tedious! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am totally convinced that this is a major bug in Plex DVR, and I hope it gets fixed ASAP! By the way, I am running Plex Media Server on the latest version of macOS Sierra 10.13.6. I’ve never had any problems with it until this started happening a few days ago. I’ve also never experience this issue on my previous Plex Server, which was a Windows 10 machine. This is a new bug.
I should also mention that I’ve tired restarting Plex Media Server, restarting my computer, and refreshing the guide. Nothing fixes the problem.
