Plex Employee to Reset Server Certificate? "API rate limit exceeded" error

That worked! Thank you!

@Mark63368 done. you may need to restart your server

Thanks @BigWheel . I’m still having issues with my connection while on my local network. Everything is a relay connection. Any ideas why? My remote connections seem to be 100% fine.

Check that device and server on the same local network? like some routers have a guest wifi network so devices can end up on two different lans.

if your server is running on a docker then docker assigns a separate IP schema and it needs to be put in bridge mode so it is on local lan if i recall ( I am not a docker expert).

Could just be a DNS issue. I generally recommend folks use Google’s DNS to check rather than using the ISP default

It does not sound like there is a cert issue anymore at least. but I would restart all player devices as well.

@bigwheeel The devices and server are on the same network. I have a lot of errors in the Server log. Would that info help you help me?

Hi. I’m having the same problem over here.
I’m getting this message:
CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I’m getting the same error on my end over and over. :frowning:

Dec 12, 2021 21:30:45.781 [0x30c3f8000] ERROR - CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Having the same API limit issue :frowning:

Hi @BigWheel

I’m having the same problem and seeing the same errors in my log:

"CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

error code=ā€œ1003ā€ message=ā€œAPI rate limit exceededā€/>

Can you help with this? Nothing has changed with my server or network that I am aware of.
