Plex Employee to Reset Server Certificate? "API rate limit exceeded" error

Same here, please reset my certs!

Folks,

I’ve looked at all the posts since Bigwheel’s latest.

Everyone’s certificate looks good.

Please let me know if anyone still has issues

Still getting issues here since yesterday, none of my devices can see my server

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Seems to not be working, same error as @RedNight69.

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429,

CERT] TLS connection came in with unrecognized plex.direct SNI name ā€˜redacted.plex.direct’; using installed plex.direct cert

@gjggreen Looks like you have multiple server ( maybe some old) tied to your account. I think I reset the cert for the right one.

@RedNight69 you might have a different but similar issue. Can you access via web browser? would you mind messaging me your server logs (click on my username/avatar to message me)

Fab, just going to down it all for 15 mins then start the container.

Specifically I’m looking at ZIM. I’ll go clean up the others :wink:

Other notes from logs

Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 60
Immediately after this.
HTTP error requesting GET https://185-blah-blah-58c6.plex.direct:14425/identity (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ā€˜185-blah-blah-58c6.plex.direct’)

Edit: beautiful. Seems solved. Thanks @BigWheel and @ChuckPa :slight_smile:

Happily, PMed you my server logs

FOLKS,

FYI. Windows machines have problems with 1.23.2.

Engineering withdrew 1.23.2 for that reason

Recommend 1.23.1 (Public and Plex Pass)

Hi @ChuckPa - just to clarify your point, is this related to the issues at hand? Just clarifying as I use the Linux version exclusively.

Again, thanks for the support and resolution!

@gjggreen the issue he is talking about would only affect Windows users.

Hello!!

I’m having the same problem again with my cert.

Thanks!

I have this problem as well.

Surely, the right solution is not for a Plex employee to reset our certs by hand??? What can we do to fix this when it happens?

@JJMrs @zviratko done

Hi @BigWheel and other Plex crew - I seem to be having the same issue as most of the other users.

Running 1.23.2.4656 on Linux - I know this is a Windows thread, but the Linux one linked to this one :slight_smile:

Thanks!

Hi @BigWheel , I can’t seem to remotely connect to my server after the latest update either anymore, can my certs be reset please? Can’t PM yet else i’d PM logs and cert files. Running on Win 10

Hi @BigWheel @ChuckPa

I’m afraid I’m having the same issue again. My certificate has been reset twice already but the problem seems to reoccur about 2 weeks after the reset. As far as I’m aware nothing is changing on my end. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this? Would you be able too reset my certificate again? Thanks

Hello, i seem to have more or less the same issue as everyone else. I can access my server (android shield TV) and play media fine from android apps, windows 10 apps, but not from a browser be it on my network or remotely. Not sure how to post logs, but could you reset my certs just in case?

Thanks a lot!

@kmashfr

Certificate reset. You may restart your server.

If it still gives you trouble, please check the networking because I saw 4x more hung certificates in your account than I normally see.

@leo632

Your certificate reset. You may restart the server.

You need to find out what’s going on with the shield.

Is the DHCP changing on you such that it’s catching the Shield at bad times?
