Plex Employee to Reset Server Certificate? "API rate limit exceeded" error

Thank you.

Certificate reset.

You may restart the server.

You’re an angel! Thank you.

Hi Chuck, may I also request a certificate reset?

Hi @ChuckPa ,

I’m having the same issue:

WARN - [CERT] TLS connection came in with unrecognized plex.direct SNI name '192-168-1-252.c38580e7ba574e12bb47bbd58a1886f9.plex.direct'; using installed plex.direct cert

Can you also reset it for me ?

THX.

Thank you! That worked

Hi hi, I’m having the same issue. Could someone also reset mine? Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need the logs.

@shayanzadeh

Prestidigitation applied. Old server removed, remaining two reset.

You may restart both

I’m also seeing this on my server, running version v1.23.3.4707-ebb5fe9f3 in docker. Could I have my certificate reset? Thanks!

Hi there, may I please request a certificate reset? A few days ago I could no longer access my server via app.plex.tv or from any remote access. Here’s what my logs say that lead to this forum:

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> < errors> < error code=ā€œ1003ā€ message=ā€œAPI rate limit exceededā€/> < /errors>

Please and thank you!

Please reset my server also.

Hello, my server is also having this issue. Can I be reset? Thanks!

Hi @ChuckPa, I’m afraid this has reoccurred again (again about 12 days after the last reset). I’ve checked everything I can think of on the local network: the server is on a static IP and everything looks like it’s working fine with port forwarding etc. I’ve attached my log files if there’s anything else that I can try on my end let me know. Could you reset my certificate again?

Thanks.

@ChuckPa Since a few days i’m also having problems. Seems to be certificate related. I can access plex trough local website. Also trough app.plex.tv (remote). But I cannot use the android app. The android app can login, but as soon as it tries to show the library’s it keeps on loading. Also tried on a 2nd phone outside the network.

I’ve checked port forwarding, recreated the docker, rebooted router and still not working.

WARN - [CERT] TLS connection came in with unrecognized plex.direct SNI name ā€˜192-168-1-100.cdad5a766c184b2ba50a8448d4a3cada.plex.direct’; using installed plex.direct cert

Another line says: DEBUG - CERT: incomplete TLS handshake: sslv3 alert bad certificate
