Just recently, the BBC have made a change to their channel lineups, by removing the BBC1 SD channel from some of their transmitters as the local Channel is now transmitted as HD on ch 001 … for some lucky folks.
However for EVERYONE using the local small fill in transmitters in rural areas this is NOT the case. In my area in the South West UK, this is all the postcodes TQ6 and TQ7. Devon has a total population of 1,177,900 people , making it the 11th largest county in the UK. However Plex you have chosen to only include the main transmitters with their bulging 155 channels and forgotten all the disadvantaged with their measly 45 channels -1 as now we don’t have BBC 1 anymore.
Why can’t you include a list that is appropriate to include all of the local fill-in transmitters. There are plenty of other throughout the whole of the UK, with the same measly list of channels?

Using XMLTV?: No
Nope that just creates an error and doesn’t work.
In fact having spent 9 hours trying different options there is no answer because the PLEX EPG is flawed and out of date.
U#No good using XMLTV, I tried that before, it sort of worked but not really.
It seems PLEX doesn’t really cater fot the UK market and have no clue about UK TV.
Shame I could have saved my money rather than getting a PLEX PASS.
Take note unless you have an HDHomerun device and live in the USA, stick to KODI, which just works
SHAME ON YOU PLEX for marketing something you do NOT support.
Well today the channels were updated.
I am not sure if it was as a result of this post, but now BBC1 is sorted out with BBC1 South West HD in the correct locations. Pity there is no logo for BBC1 SW HD, but who knows somebody might add that in due course. There are also 3 Radio Channels that don’t line up properly and RB1, but I can’t be bothered to get worked up about that.
Thanks e10kstarfire,
Yes they are nearly all fixed except for the local msats for Devon, which has nearly over a million users:-
LOGO MISSING:
BBCHD South West (they could just use the BBC1HD logo actually as there are regional variations).
RADIO CHANNELS LISTING INCORRECT FOR:
Ch 726 BBC Solent Dorset
Ch 722 BBC Somerset
Ch 719 BBC Bristol
RB1 ISSUE
Ch 601 BBC RB1 (crashes the channel setup)
Over the past few weeks due to all of these issues I have been using VLC Media player and selecting the Freeview local guide. Of course one of the interesting benefits of using VLC media player, with a single tuner, is that you can open multiple instances of VLC on any device and then use any of the m3u playlist streams from the same mux, enabling you to watch any channel on any or the same device. Just to prove the point I have had all 9 of my HD cannels running in small windows on one computer. (not to be reccomended, plays havoc with your eyesight ha ha)
I’m getting the wrong channel for Channel 2 - MeTV for Antietam Cable of Hagerstown Maryland. It is showing START TV. (should be MeTV). The guide lists the correct graphic - but when click to view or record, it is recording the wrong channel.
In fact, Plex won’t even let me click on Channel 2 and save. If I leave it blank, I can save the updated EPG. If I select Channel 2 and click “Save” nothing happens.
