Plex Experience Preview Feedback

Hello, I recently discovered the Plex Experience Preview for Roku and wanted to provide feedback to anyone finds it beneficial. I currently have three different TVs running different versions of Plex. This includes Plex Experience Preview Roku, Plex Roku current app, Plex older app before the layout change. I loved the old layout and found it easy to navigate my personal libraries. The current app was hard to navigate and not as fluid as the old. However with Plex Experience and learning I was using the navigation buttons wrong it is easier to use.

The Roku up/down/left/right buttons are good for short navigation but for further navigation the Roku back arrow button is a faster action. For example if you are at the bottom of your long list of movies. Hitting the back button will jump you to the beginning of your movie list, hitting it again your library list is shown, again your on the header selection, again will take you to the home section.

The only to critics/suggestions would be bring back libraries remember selected tabs option. Also when you are on the home section if either the back button is hit or navigating up the home tab is highlighted/selected. This seems redundant since there are no drop down options for the home tab. It would be awesome if the library tab was highlighted/selected instead. To anyone who has taken the time to read my entire post thank you.

On your last point, I agree. In addition to going back to Library when you hit the back button, I actually wish there was an option in settings to default to Library as soon as you open the app.

What enhancements have you noticed in navigation between the current app and the Preview app?

That would be entirely too user friendly, and against steering you toward Plex monetized content.

Yeah, its a real shame that after scrolling through my local media they have the audacity to display their own content. Especially after I chose to not turn it off in my account…

The option to open to the last used library would be nice though.
