Plex for Android and Plexpass cannot play certain audio folders, web player works fine

Server Version#: 1.40.2.8351 (Docker)
Player Version#: Plexamp 4.10.1, Plex for Android 10.13.0.466

Hi guys,
sorry, may I ask you for a help or an advice please? I have been searching through lot of forums and posts trying to find some solution for my issue, but to no avail. There are some similar issues in the past, but did not have any possible solution for my case.

For quite a few years I’m running my Plex server (docker container on Unraid server) with no issues. Few users connect daily, everybody happy no complaints (thanks!). I do have quite a large collection of audiobooks, most of the friends are using the Plexamp player to listen to those, some are using just Plex for Android. Everything working fine.
Recently we discovered an issue, where when somebody wants to listen to specific audiobook (audio album) and starts playing the first file or select the main play button, all files are being skipped one after the other. That is happening in Plexamp. In Plex for Android there is an error posted (“An error occured while playing this item”) and the playback is stopped immediately.
The interesting part is that playing through web player, everything works flawlessly. Also this behavior is related to just some audiobooks (albums). Most of them work just fine. The “problematic” albums are consistent between various users and devices. All albums have same structure, naming, characters as other albums which work fine.

I have tried to:

  • Remove the problematic albums completely and add them again with rescanning the library.
  • Restarted the whole server.
  • Removed and added devices.
  • Checked permissions on the files

The logs from PMS, Plex for Android and Plexamp are attached.

Your help and expertise will be greatly appreciated!
