Plexamp - Skipping on Android Device

Hi, I’‘m having a Plexamp playback issue on one of my devices.

I have a Pixel 7a Android phone and in September, it developed an issue where audio would skip. I thought it was an issue with some new files I added to my library but it would happen on new and old files. The issue is only with my Android phone, playback is perfect on my iPad and laptop.

I have deleted and reinstalled Plexamp, updated Plex, cleared the Plexamp Cache, cleared space on my Android device but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Maybe it was a storage space issue on the Android device.

Just cleared more space on the device, cleared the cache and tracks which were skipped 30 mins ago are now playing ok.

I’ll see how it performs over the new few days, if that’s fixed the issue, I’ll close the ticket.

I can confirm this is an issue between 2 different Android phones (Pixel 7, Galaxy S23 Ultra) using PlexAmp. Was initially thought it was due to disk corruption I had on the Plex server storage that corrupted the MP3 files (this has since been remediated), but I have played the same music files on the PC Plex application without clipping.

There are a few possible things here (skipping? clipping?) but if you’re running a beta PMS which is not the latest, transcoded Opus files could skip. Update media server and delete Plexamp cache from settings.
