Plex for Android crashes on startup

Hi everyone,

My kids have 2 identical Acer Iconia One 8 (B1-810) running android 4.4.4.
They have been using plex without issues for 2 years.

Recently, one of the two tablet started having issues with Plex only.
Plex is always crashing when starting up. Sometimes showing the Plex logo for a long time, sometimes showing a black screen for a long time. Sometimes allowing to send a report, sometimes not. I tried all of the following :

  • Clear cache and app data (Many times)
  • Uninstall / Reboot / Reinstall
  • Different Wi-Fi Connection
  • Airplane mode
  • Factory Reset for the device.

Nothing worked…

I also check and the working device has the same Plex version that the onw having issues. (6.12.0.3239)

Please help me figure this out.

Any chance to get help ? My son is rerally sad that he cannot watch his favorite movies anymore ?
