Hello all, I have been on a constant search for a better music player ever since switching to iOS (oh, how I miss BlackPlayerEX on Android). I tried PlexAmp but unfortunately some of the songs play with zero volume. It’s not the song itself as it plays fine in Apple’s music app as well as Plex for iOS.
So I gave Plex a shot and the issue is that iOS aggressively kills the Plex app. It happens whether I’m casting a movie or just listening to music. It seems that sometimes the app is killed even when music is actively playing, so for example if I get a phone call and the music stops like it’s supposed to, it doesn’t resume when the call is over. I have to go find the Plex app, open it again, go to Music, etc., etc. Sometimes it remembers where it left off, most of the time it doesn’t. I even had an interesting issue today to where the app actually wasn’t killed for once, but the music didn’t resume after a phone call. I pressed Play, the Plex app closed, and the Apple Music app opened and started playing the song the Plex app was previously playing. Talk about weird.
So all of that to ask… is there some sort of setting within the Plex for iOS app - or iOS itself - that I’m overlooking? Something to tell iOS to leave the Plex app alone? Or perhaps something in the Plex app that tells iOS to leave it alone? If someone could kindly lend some insight as to what I may be missing or doing wrong, it would be most appreciated.
Something to note that I have my entire music library locally stored on my iDevice… so I don’t know if that’s confusing Plex when it tries to play music? Just thought I’d mention that. Thanks in advance!
