Plax app ios keep play last song when skip

The iOS Plex app seems to have a bug with which when i skip to the next song, the skipped song keeps on playing in the background of the current song. Still no update about that. I asked last year and no answer

Same issue as iOS Plex previous song keeps playing on top of current song and Plex mobile keeps playin previous songs on top of the new ones when shuffling

Yep. I’ve had similar experiences.
Sometimes a song starts… but doesn’t really start… it just sits there.
So you skip forward and skip back and it starts; but so does the song you skipped forward to. So now you have two songs going. I have to kill the Plex app and relaunch to get all the threads stopped.

I love plex in most other respects - but this is just one of several issues with the iOS app that keeps it from being a replacement for my other iOS media apps. I’m trying to just replace the need for the built-in Apple Music player so I can stay sync’d with my home machine, download to my iPhone to match the server etc. But its impractical when the iOS app is so unreliable.

I also like it but hate the non-support. Someone told me to try plexamp for music… ill give a try

Not impressed with PlexAmp so far.
Try to log in on the iPhone, can’t get through saved passwords on the iPhone before the app forces itself to the front again.
Literally can’t log in using the OS-bases password management. WTF?

Plex and PlexAmp both made by Plex inc. But they don’t share downloaded media?
So if I download 5gig of music to my phone in one app, I have to do it again in the other app.

I swear it feels like these developers never actually try to be USERS of the software they are writing.

Update after a couple hours:
Well… It hasn’t crashed, its playing over household wifi pretty much instantly whether I’m in the house, yard or garage, browsing the server instantly including artwork, … yeah, once you get it going it feels like a prop app.

I was able to login with the browser from my iphone. Haven’t test it yet, just looked at it
