Plex for Kodi won't connect when Internet connection is down?

Is it correct that Plex for Kodi will not show any content unless and internet connection is present? I have my server on a local network and the connection is live however when my internet goes down which it often does I can’t access any content using Plex for Kodi latest addon. Soon as internet is restored it works fine.

Is this a big or am I doing something wrong?

This is unfortunately normal, because the Add-On cannot find your server on its own. It needs the help of plex.tv, which knows all the IP addresses and the FQDN of your server.

You may need to use the ‘Manual Server’ setting in the Add-On to define the local IP address of your server(s). Keep in mind that this will only work, if you are not ‘forcing’ Secure Connections.
