Good evening and the first time I write on this forum I don’t know if it’s the right section. I write to get some more information regarding the Ple service and specifically if it works in the absence of the internet. The day before yesterday I was without internet for 2 hours and I wanted to see some videos that are stored on my main PC in which Plex server is installed, directly on the TV via chromecast. So I go to my phone to view the server but this does not appear despite the computer being turned on and working, why? Shouldn’t the same work since the pc is on the same network? Among other things, when I go to configure Plex server, it tells me that the connection is absent and I can’t even see them on the PC. Is there a procedure I can do to make it work without the internet? I had a look at some discussion on the forum and tried the procedure to enter the ip addresses of the devices but nothing. Help me !!! I use it almost every day because it is fantastic
and I regret that it cannot be used offline.
Thank you in advance
Take a look at the following document – I used these steps previously to ensure local access would fully work when the internet is down.
I had no problems last week during the plex outage viewing my content locally on my network.

Now added to ‘The Bookmarks’ for future reference.
Thanks
I believe a chromcast would require an internet connection no mather what was going to be cast.
