Recent update to plex for mac makes it so you can no longer use any other keyboard shortcut when the “skip intro” box is on screen. you can only push space/enter to skip the intro. you cannot shift+right arrow to skip to next episode, or right arrow to skip the intro yourself (some shows with ~30s intros skip better this way, than using the plex intro skip)
Please undo this.
This is still an issue. Every Simpsons episode I have to push right arrow, right arrow, space bar, right arrow right arrow to skip the intros, instead of just being able to press right arrow a few times. Also can’t adjust volume when the “skip intro” button is up. Similar frustrations with other shows where intro dectection doesn’t work properly, or if its just quicker to press right arrow instead of waiting for skip intro to come up.
At least give me the choice for which behaviour I want. You plex devs changed the setting, surely you can give us the option.
Sorry for the long delay.
I can see how it would be super annoying. Keyboard shortcuts work while other player control buttons are focused, why not Skip Intro? I’m surprised we didn’t hear about this a lot sooner.
Anywho, we’ve fixed it. It’ll be available in a couple weeks in our next Plex Web and Plex for Windows/Mac releases.
