Plex for Mac: Customize/Adjust "Select User" screen

Player Version#: 1.70.2.3845-31e96af6

When opening the Plex for Mac application (on the Macbook pro or the external screen) , the user boxes are displayed towards the top center of the screen and are quite small. On all other platforms the user boxes are displayed much larger and in the center of the screen. Any way to customize/adjust this? I can’t seem to find any documentation from Plex, in the settings, or info in the forums. (the user images are altered on purpose, they are displayed normally when opening the app)

That is correct. The Plex for Mac app is based on Plex Web which has this same layout. The UI elements are designed for 1080p and should follow your OS’s zoom settings for your monitor. Unfortunately, there isn’t a custom zooming option in the app like you can with Plex Web.

Fair enough. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately zoom doesn’t work for the app. I wish Plex could have a universal layout for all platforms. I also wish the app would get the setting for switching between the Classic & Modern layouts but that launched 2 years ago and I still haven’t seen the option. Guess it being based off of the Plex Web layout is also the answer to that question. Oh well. Thanks for your time.

Use Plex HTPC if you like the other layout.

Thanks. I do prefer that layout and the features that Plex for Mac doesn’t offer. I stopped using it because HTPC isn’t fully integrated with a mouse/trackpad. That is a bummer but just the way it goes. Again, thank you for your time. Appreciated.
