For some reason Plex for Mac picks up retarded .local name? Do we have option to rename player?

That’s the name of the server. Not the client.

This is the network name of your Mac. The .local is a “domain” name added by Bonjour.
Right now there is no way to change this within Plex.

Same was with PMP, took only like what a year to introduce this “feature”?
