Plex for Philips Smart TV's

Hello Plex users,



I’ve got a few Philips Smart TV’s at my house, but unfortunately there is no Plex app available.

Is there anyone willing and capable to start developing? Maybe it’s possible to partially use the code for the Samsung and/or LG TV apps?

I’ve got a two Philips Smart TV’s , there is no Plex player available. Is any chance to Plex player will be available for Phillips Smart TV?

I´ve got now a PHILIPS 55PUS6703/12 and there is still no Plex availible. This is really a shame, Plex should be on any Ambilight TV, just the perfect combination.

Rokus are cheap, especially if you buy refurb, and will provide you a superior and snappier experience than an app built-into the TV even if there wasn’t one. Plus, then you don’t have to replace your TV in a year when it can’t handle the demands of future Plex app versions… you just replace your Roku (which you probably won’t need to do for several years, since the Roku will already start off being several times more powerful than the “smarts” in your “smart” TV)

Ok, so if you have a plex server setup you can access it through the Phillips smart tv like so: Navigate to the tv home screen by pressing the home button on your remote. Next select the home network option. Once you do that you should see your server and be able to access it, however the loading time for each menu option is kind of slow. It also depends on your file formatting as my movies are mp4s and it would not read them.

Update, it will pkay mkv files but no mp4s so far which sucks.
