Streaming over PS3 (problems with surround on receiver)

Hi there,

 

i've got a problem with my sound.I have a Sony STR-DB870QS receiver wich is able to get a dts signal. i connected my ps3 with an optical cable to this receiver. the only problem is, when i stream a movie over the pleax app (or jus the media server) I've got the center sound in the right front box. when i stream a stereo movie it works fine (obviously).

The tricky thing is, this problem doesn't appear on netflix or streaming over ps3 media server, so i assume it has something to to with the plex app (sound transcoding or something?) 

But i really have no clue, what to check or what to change, that this problem can be solved. i really love the plex app and i would hate to switch back to xbmc or ps3ms.

I hope someone can give me an advise!

Having the same problem. All my 5.1 audio center channel is coming out of Front Right speaker. I'm connected to a Yamaha RX2065V receiver via HDMI.

I have a Pioneer receiver and I’m having the same issues. I tried changing some settings around but no luck.

I found the solution for my problem! In the Plex App on the PS3 there is on the top right corner the Username. There you can switch to Settings and turn on "AC3" sound to receiver!
