Recently my plex has started acting wonky. Everytime the movie hits the credits the video freezes and does not exit back to the summary screen. Sometimes I cant even hit back or stop the entire TV freezes and I have to power down. It works fine the entire movie (Any movie) but as soon as it gets to the ending credits (around 3-5mins left) the app stops.

No all different movies each time. Any movie. I have been using plex for years and never saw this issue before.

which one? The Plex media server.log or another? Quite big
Close out PMS, open it up, play the movie until it crashes and then paste that PMS log, yes it will be big, just zip it up should compress down quite well.

Ok here is the log as you asked. I stopped PMS, and then resumed the movie I was watching and it froze with 32secs left during credits around 7:09pm est

Just for the heck of it, would you mind turning off allow direct stream in plex on the tv and try again?

I had already done that the other day. Only allow direct play is checked. local streaming quality is set at 20mbps 1080p

Ok with Both Direct play and direct stream unchecked the app stops during credits with 32secs left of video and stays on the screen, the same with direct play checked and direct stream unchecked, but with Direct play unchecked and direct stream checked the video plays through till it ends and returns to the video summary screen.
But this means that it will always have to transcode video? I was hoping to stay away from transcoding since when more that one TV is using plex it tends to start lagging. Thanks for your help btw

Can you provide the XML info for the file that you know stops every time? Also when direct stream is working can you log into your PMS server and look at activity and see what it says it's doing to the stream click on your video the little i and it will say Video Direct Stream and Audio Something else.
