Plex for Windows, are the plex developers really lazy?

Why does the Microsoft Windows Store have a 1 year old copy of Plex for Windows on it still? Granted you (this is direct to the Plex devs) you might want the latest version to appear there anymore, why do even have it listed anymore? This confuses the general public who want to access Plex to view material. I think you must be really lazy and likely sit on your hands all day long. Otherwise it would be dealt with a year ago.

Thanks

I don’t think there is a plex for Windows developer anymore…

We get that, but then add syncing to PMP and get someone off their lazy ass. Is there a worse run company? If these guys think they are going to add “premium content”, good luck. Because you will get the worst possible PR from all of us. The reputation you have developed will be told and it will never get off the ground. Stick it to your paying customers and we will stick it back to you. Hope you are listening.

There’s quite a few people that have made the move to Emby judging by their forums. I still have Plex running but that’s mainly for a few friends who have external access and a PS4 and sadly Emby doesn’t have a good solution for PS4. Must say that I really enjoyed taking my surface on the Christmas holidays and being able to watch synced content on the Emby UWP app.
It’s now been 2 years without even a word from plex management so they’re really not interested. So much for being more open and transparent…I do see elan posting in the plexamp thread though…

He can post all he wants, when he comes out with this premium content, the users he blew off are going to come down so hard, that the reviews are going to DESTROY it. He should have gotten the things working we paid for first, then thought about the rest. Guess he will learn.

On a side note. I might try Emby. Do you have it running side by side on the same server as Plex? If so, is there no conflict?

Yup running both on the same server, win 10 on an intel NUC i5 that’s a few years old without any issues. With Emby version 4 they massively improved performance, and it’s flying now.
Had a few issues with Emby not picking up the right movies but typically if you follow the Plex naming convention, Emby shouldn’t give you any issues.
