Synology doesn’t let one set a FQDN as far as I can tell.
Nonetheless I’ve configured an FQDN in DNS on my local network and wish to use it to access Plex. Which works fine, except Plex throws an error “Request came in with unrecognized domain / IP … in header Host; treating as non-local”.
If I run hostname $fqdn on the NAS that stops showing up, but that won’t survive a reboot, and plex web still reports the connection as remote.
I also tried modifying customConnections, FriendlyName, etc. and none of it helped.
What is the right way to override the hostname so connections to Plex using a FQDN when running on a Synology NAS appears local.
