Plex starts to glitch the video on TV shows, mainly near the end with a few minutes left, then gets worse, then Chromecast crashes and reboots.
You can catch this and stop the Chromecast from crashing and rebooting if you fast-forward past the worst glitching part. However, this can be difficult because you need to know the apex of the glitching video, it’s like you can feel it start to happen.
Anyway, this has been going on for the last 3 or 4 Plex updates and I’ve finally had enough. It seems to be getting worse. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
This is what I mean when I say PLEX is glitching. The image seems to pixelate then freeze while the next few frames start to move. It’s really trippy when it happens, it’s like a chameleon that was camo-ed out starts to move from the background.
Anyway, this is still happening to me. The one thing that is a bit less is that the Chromecast doesn’t crash as often anymore but the glitching gets pretty bad still.
PLEASE HELP! I hate this, it ruins everything I watch.
Alright, I’m going to now assume this issue isn’t a Plex issue, since it seems very specific to me and no one else. I’m going to assume that the problem is the Chromecast 2 I’m using and I’ll switch it out soon. Hopefully this solves the my problem, fingers crossed lol.
