Player Version#:3.77.4

Hi, I installed an update this morning (PlexMediaServer-1.14.1.5488-cc260c476-x86_64) and now I do not have a home page, covers for my media and the media does not play. Please advise. Thanks Tom

Please go to Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
and attach the ZIP file it gives you. We can look at what’s happening

As you requested I have attached the zip file of the logs.

Please take a look at How to recover a corrupt database.
We’re trying to find out why some are seeing this after a clean shutdown.

https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/

I am tracking what appears to be a widespread problem.

Can you downgrade to the previous version, without first atttempting recovery?

Let’s see if it is calling out a false alarm or if it got mangled .

Hi, Where do i get the apk? Tom

Tom,
Which system please? I can get a link if you can give me the details of what to get

Synology uses SPK files

good lord this new update has BOTCHED everything. I’ve done the plex dance numerous times, still no cover phots. I’m about ready to wipe plex and start over fresh but there has to be a better way.

need link for previous build for synology.

Plex Media Server Logs_2018-12-19_09-21-35.zip (4.6 MB)

here’s my logs.

The only thing that resolved my issue was erasing the entire plex install, downgrading back to Version 1.13.4.5271

Thank you for the prompt response, yes, a few of my file names need fixed. They are such a mess.

Hi Sorry my mistake it was an spk file that I updated with (PlexMediaServer-1.14.1.5488-cc260c476-x86_64.spk). I was directed to the file by clicking on the update notice on the front page of Plex. Tom

ps, I think heygirl just sent me her logs

Hi ChuckPA, I found the last update SPK (PlexMediaServer-1.13.9.5456-ecd600442-x86_64.spk) but Plex or Synology will not allow me to downgrade. Please provide me with instructions on how to install a previous update. Thanks Tom

Hi trumpy81, Is this msg for me or heygaul? TPMjr

Uninstall the package first. I don’t delete the data when you uninstall (I wrote the installer for Synology).
Synology dictatates that we uninstall to downgrade.

Hi, Are you saying to uninstall Plex from my Synology server and than use the SPK file to reinstall Plex and it will find my data? Tom

Tom,
that is what I’m saying.

I specifically wrote the installer to find the Plex share when it installs.
I did this to allow you the freedom to move the share to whichever Volume you need / want.

Can you please provide a link for SPK file that’s the one before the newest one for Synology?

Hi, Thanks for clarifying and I will attempt to recover my Plex but you just threw a curve at me with the Plex share. I am sharing but I don’t understand what you are suggesting. Did you see something in my log’s that suggests I have configured Plex wrong? Tom
