Plex has stopped seeing my content

My Plex Media Server has stopped seeing my new movies. This is a very new issue and I haven’t had any issues before.

I store my files on my NAS drive and access them via networked drive on my windows PC.

Can anyone help tell me why my last two recent movies haven’t uploaded to Plex please?

The problems with NAS are almost always permissions. Assure your paths allow the PLEX agent and the subject file have their permissions correct - even if you didn’t change anything. OS Updates, PLEX updates, and software patches/fixes/additions/deletions might effect your infrastructure. Trace the whole path to one of your misbehaving files to see if this is an issue. It might be as simple as having your server automatically scan for content, or a PLEX Dance to clean up your DB and Metadata

Thanks. I’m trying to delete the Films Library section from Plex but when I confirm the Films library is still visible and 9 films are still there!? Obviously when I press play the file isn’t found.

I have also directed the Films library to an empty Test folder on the NAS drive.

I don’t think I can go any further until I am able to successfully delete the film library and start again.

I think my issue is a copy in progress problem as outlined here https://support.plex.tv/articles/201543057-why-is-some-of-my-content-not-found/

How do I actually resolve a copy in progress problem? I won’t download directly to the location again but how do I fix the immediate problem of the scanner ignoring the directory? I’ve renamed the folders, directed Plex to other folders, tried to delete the library. Nothing is getting me back on track.

I have reset Plex on my Terra Master.

Now when I enter Plex, I try to delete the Films library but I get this error.

Does anyone know what my next step should be please?

Are you trying to use your Terra Master for your server or your windows computer? Seems like you might have both installed and getting confused. To setup a server, you need to access the local Plex Web app that comes with PMS.

Your last screenshot is for PMS on the Terramaster. If you want PMS on the Terramaster, foolow this guide on how to set it up, https://support.plex.tv/articles/115006771007-install-plex-media-server-on-a-terramaster-nas/.

Thanks. There is no Plex server on the windows PC. The PMS is on the Terra Master and has been working fine prior to this.

I do navigate the NAS libraries by windows explorer.

Ok. I’m not very familiar with the Terramaster. I’ve reached out to see if someone else can help.

I found my solution here:

I deleted all the databases and just went for a clean start and everything is back to normal, although with no historic data.
