Plex Home, PIN entry on nvidia shield tv using logitech universal remote keypad possible?

Hi, Currently in plex home on nvidia shield when it comes to pin entry I need to use the “arrows” on the remote for up/down and ok in order to move over to the required number and select it in order to enter the pin number to select my user. Is there the possibility that this could instead be directly entered using the number keys on the remote which would be so much faster for this function?

Thanks

Unfortunately, these devices (Shield, aTV, etc) that have minimal remotes w/o # keys do not allow developers direct access to IR reception (aTV I know for sure, assuming the same for SHIELD). So the apps are only made aware of button presses the from the Shield/aTV remote.

I am able to use the number pad on my Harmony Touch with no issues on the Shield TV

@fbearoff how do you have your Nvidia Shield setup on your Harmony? I tried this last night and my number pad (on the Harmony touch-screen) does not do anything when I try to enter my PIN.

Does your Harmony have a touch-screen number pad or physical buttons?

How did you add your Shield to your Harmony account?

The issue isn’t access to IR or raw remote input (Shield doesn’t use IR for its remote and 2017 models don’t have any IR reception anyway), it’s just Plex doesn’t accept numerical input - at least not in all cases. I’ve tried with a BT keyboard remote (looks like a keyboard to the Shield) and Plex didn’t take the numbers from its number pad. I’d expect it won’t work with any standard USB or BlueTooth keyboard either.
