Plex Home User not at Home

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5999-7000
Player Version#: 1.28.0.5999
Will “Plex Home” users still work if they’re not physically in the home or do I need to switch them to “Managed Library Access”?

Yes.

The documentation says Plex Home is intended for people that live in the same household, but Plex has no way to enforce that restriction.

Many people use it for kids at college, parents, siblings, etc.

Read the docs about Plex Home, especially the part about Fast User switching and PIN protecting your account. You’ll most likely want to PIN protect at least the admin account to prevent someone else in your Plex Home from gaining admin access to your server.

Cool. Appreciate the response. Asked because of all the users I allow access, the two that are outside the home but assigned home users consistently has issues with buffering streams. And I have all the Home Users pin protected.
