I don’t have one myself, but hopefully some one will be able to share with you. but in comparison to other players, mpv is not the best for hdr.

I have to say I find the brightness of HDR files lower than ideal, and I think slightly lower than if I directly play in MPV player

Still having this problem with HTPC player. I can play these multiple files on iOS and Roku clients just fine but HTPC player is having a problem playing the 2nd file of these multi-disc rips.
