My Mac Mini is always on with Plex HTPC running. But since a few weeks, every time I turn on my TV to watch something it hangs. When pressing a button on my remote, you can see the interface move for a second. Then it becomes unresponsive, but you can still hear the interface sounds when pressing the arrow buttons. I’ve attached the log, this is after a completely fresh Plex HTPC installation today (even removed al configs etc.).

I’m not sure if this relates directly to what you’re seeing, but if I leave HTPC running fullscreen on my Mac without anything playing for long enough, Plex will run it’s own screensaver, and if I wait longer than that, eventually the Mac will sleep.

When I wake the Mac from sleep, I can see the HTPC screensaver but all keyboard input fails. The problem is only that HTPC loses focus.

So once I single click anywhere with my mouse, HTPC becomes the active program and will respond to keyboard input.

Is this anything similar to what you’re experiencing?

I think that’s a different problem. I disabled the Plex screensaver and there is no way to fix it except to force quit the app and restart it.
