Is HTPC going to be revamped with the new UI announced this week?
Will this mean the app is rewritten ‘from the ground up’ as the other apps have been?

Yes, but it’ll be later than the other apps.
I’m very grateful it has even survived given the onslaught of streaming devices.
A fresh face will be great.
Would the new Plex HTPC be able to play multichannel music files as the current one ?
Will it get the “advertise as player” functionality back with the rewrite?
