Plex-HTPC with a local Server

I mirror my Plex Media files on my NAS to a portable drive to be able to take my movies with me when network access is unavailable, I loaded the Plex Server on my PC and configured it to work with the local server. I can access it via the web and via the tray icon “Open Plex” option. I tried to add it as a manual server to Plex-HTPC but it show an error when I check server access - reporting Server Offline or unreachable. It works fine through other methods. Help with suggestions would be appreciated!

I found the instructions (again) at How to Use Plex Media Server Without Internet Access (howtogeek.com) so I am up and running again.
