I was wondering if it would be possible to directly write Plex Support into the VLC HTTP interphase, so that one could install it onto something like a Raspberry Pi or an old Laptop hooked up to a big screen, and use a web browser from the phone to pick videos that then play on the TV, cutting around all sorts of hardware, xbmc, and client issues. Lua seems easy enough to work with, but the trouble would be getting the video into a playable form, which can be done as seen with the Webclient, but I guess some scraping would be in order.
