Plex incompatible with new Android 11 media controls?

The new Android 11 notification area media controls aren’t working well with the Plex Android app on my Motorola Edge+. A media control for Plex appears in the notification area, typically, but sometimes won’t actually control the app, and sometimes doesn’t show up in the lock screen notification area like it should. I’ve also seen a duplicate, non-working media control for Plex in the notification area, that I couldn’t get rid of except rebooting the phone.

Anyone else experiencing this, know a workaround or fix?

Plex media control worked beautifully on Android 10, including the lock screen, complete with cover art, an even background playback of video with the screen locked.

Hi @maschuld, your problem sounds different than my original post here. Can you please repost in the main forum, so as to not hijack this conversation about the Android 11 media controls? I’ll join there as well, since I also experience unexplained playback freezes, although mine are with video streams from my home Plex media server.
