I’m using a Bluesound Node 2 to listen to music in my dedicated home theater. But if I choose to listen to music other than just that one room, such as on my iPad, etc, I have decided to try adding music to Plex along with all my movies and TV shows to see how well it integrates into the overall ecosystem. I was using Roon as my controller for all things music which allowed me to listen to music on my ipad, or on the Node 2 since Roon integrates with the Node 2. But an annual subscription to Roon of over $100 and a lifetime subscription of close to $500, I have put Roon on hold.
Last I heard, and quote me if I’m wrong, I heard that Plex is revamping the music scraping to hopefully include reviews, etc. That would be GREAT and would mirror Roon. But what I would REALLY like to see is Plex interface with Bluesound (and other products like Sonos, etc). The BluOS app is ONLY a remote and DOES NOT play back anything. If Plex would allow the user to choose which device to use to play the media back (like Roon does), it would be awesome and I’m sure others would agree.
Also, since Tidal is now working with Plex, is there anything on the horizon to allow playback of MQA / hi res audio? For us users that have a Tidal account and also use Plex, its a pain to switch back and forth between apps…I know it is for me. Any way to make Plex a one stop shop!?
I agree. Plex please integrate with Bluesound.

Probably better off getting bluesound to add google cast then you could just cast from plex.
this request exists on both players forum. we ask plex to make it happen, and we ask bluesound to make it happen. Please?
