Plex interrupts whatever is casting and starts casting by itself

When I cast music from Spotify or videos from Youtube the streaming is interrupted about 20-30 seconds in by Plex showing the “Ready to cast” screen as if someone has started streaming Plex to the Chromecast. When I go to the Home app I see that Plex indeed is streaming to the Chromecast and I can disconnect the stream from there. Same thing happened when my wife tried to stream Spotify to the Chromecast. I have rebooted the Plex server, Plex mobile app and Chromecast but the problem still remains.

What can be the cause of this annoying behavior?
