Streaming/casting to my chromecast it stops working after 20-30mins upset

Hi

When i stream/cast to chromcast after 10-30mins it stops working and freezes nothing fixes it. Only way to fit it is to turn off my chromcast and restart the plex app i am casting from (the app on my iPad)

This sucks and makes impossible to watch my movies stored on my plex i use my iPad to cast to my tv

i have a play pass and all update everything I love plex but this suck and it killing me

help!!!

Have you tried casting from a different device? Could the IPAD power settings turn off connectivity after a period of inactivity and mess up the casting?

Hi

I have Tried my iPhone se and the app seems to work better it cast and discounts back to play on my iPhone much faster as well and pause and play faster. I have no idea if i will get the same problem again as i only had 5mins left on my movie to watch LOL

i also changed Maximum simultaneous video transcode from 2-3 so that could have helped

at least i got to finish my movie IPMan 3 on my 50 inch tv

I am suffering from very similar problems too :frowning_face:

Plex Server: Version 1.15.2.793 (Windows (i3))
Chromecast Device Firmware: 1.37.148642
Plex Player App: 7.12.1.9314 (Android Phone)

After a period of playback, could be five minutes or twenty, playback stops. To recommence playback I either stop or pause or close the Plex player app on my phone. This usually results in temporary fix for another few minutes until the issue reoccurs.

Any advice welcome, my credibility with my children is at stake!
