I’m having the same problem with Microsoft Edge although I don’t have this problem with Firefox. I’m currently using Firefox as a workaround. Started about 10 days ago. If i stop playback on the crashed media and load a different media it will play then stop playback on that media and return to the previous media then it will play. refreshing the page does not correct the problem.
There have been many reports of crashing on Chrome and Edge (for me) but for now I have no problems with Firefox, but that’s not my preferred browser for watching plex. However I have noticed after the crash when I restart plex tab and go to the dashboard the media is playing in the dashboard but not on the player and when I start it in the player it crashes, then I restart the plex tab again now I have 2 of the same media playing (counting down in the dashboard) altho I have not started them in the player, and there is no way to cancel them in the dashboard so they keep playing in the background unless you either restart the server or end task with task manager, restarting the browser doesn’t help.
Same issue…only with Chromium browsers. I don’t have this issue on FireFox. Plex.tv will load, menu’s work, but the minute I attempt to play something I get an “Aw snap” type error. Can’t find a fix…very frustrating.
I am having the same issue on all my various computers and browsers Chrome/Brave & Edge on my Raspberry Pi Old Laptop running Ubuntu and on My Two Windows 10/11 PC’s is very annoying for the film to close unexpectedly just after you settled down to watch it. You have relog in and then it just crashes again with almost 100% probability. I am paying for this service and so I hope it can be fixed very soon as this has been ongoing now for several weeks! I have tried clearing my browser "cookies! etc. There is definitely something wrong with the website code but as it is intermittent I suspect it will be difficult to resolve. Can we “roll-back” to the previous version until you get this bug fixed!!!
I have to assume this is a larger problem than just a glitch. so far the only verified complete functioning browser is Firefox. As I keep checking the problem seems to be with the chromium platform that these browsers rely on, sometimes it works most times no. Very unusual .
I get constant random lag crashes as well. Where the orange circle of death will appear on plex web player in Chrome on windows 10 64 bit pro. I will have to restart and then the old stream will be stuck on the dashboard and won’t clear so plex will look like it has 2 streams of the same file going even though only 1 is playing
