Plex is not reachable.

Hi

Everything worked fine last night. Today I cannot access plex and even from my local pc (server) i get this message. What can i check?

Plex is not reachable.
Make sure your server has an internet connection and any firewalls or other programs are set to allow access.

We’re tracking an issue with plex.tv and API services. The team is investigating.

ok, is there any instructions on how to roll back or downgrade to the public release? (without losing all metadata etc)

That won’t solve the issue, since its on our side. It’s being worked on and should be back shortly.

There needs to be a way for our individual Plex Servers to be able to work without Internet and the reliance on your backend servers. It strangle holds like this that make people leave a product.

There is a request thread from back in 2016 calling for this removal. If they haven’t changed by now they won’t. They are becoming just like all the others and pushing what they think is best for everyone when everyone is trying to tell then it isn’t.

MS mentality??

Local Plex servers and most clients will work fine if you set secure connections on your server to “preferred” and set your clients to allow insecure connections “On local network” or “Always”

That is how my system is set and I never loose access to my server if my internet goes down or if Plex.tv goes down.
