Plex Media has stopped working

Server Version#: 1.19.3.2852.-219a.9974e
Player Version#:

Plex 1

The message I’m getting is " Plex is not reachable.

Make sure your server has an internet connection and any firewalls or other programs are set to allow access."

I have internet access and the firewall setting is fine.

I was watching something about 30 minutes ago, turned it off and when I turned it back on it wouldn’t work.

Thanks

There’s something going on with Plex. See here:

Right! I saw the status update right after I posted my message. Just need to be patient while they work on it!

Glad I looked before just fresh installing. Thanks!

happens too often lately… basically every month or so …

So how do we get updates on the progress? Can’t see any content, can’t watch liveTV, can’t log into server.

Error messages have little meaning.

Where do we go from here?

Hello everyone!
The question is: Whatever and whenever is happening with an online services, why I can not use my local media?
It has to be independent from any external troubles. My Synology instance is unaccessible the whole day. :rage:

Please fix this frustrating issues. Local instance has nothing to do with an online services if I would not like to.

~cheers

There are ways to enable local access, search the forums.

(I am not affiliated with Plex, just relaying information.)

We shouldn’t have to “search the forums” to get local content. after 30 seconds, if there’s no internet connection, it should fall back to local. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE INTERNET FOR PLEX TO WORK ON MY LOCAL CONTENT.

Agreed. However there is no need to wait for a 30 seconds. It’s a matter of one ping-type request or so. may be a hundreds of milliseconds not larger than that.

Yeah, true. I was just thinking along the lines of regular request time-outs. If you don’t get a response you have to have some sort of timeout.
